Hello GP drivers,
Next week we will be welcoming you at our track.
Registration is on Friday between 14 and 16 h. Let us know in case you arrive after 16h.
Please send us your transponder number if you haven’t done this yet.
Parking, pitting, camping:
Tents will be put up around the track. “La grange” sera ouverte aussi. You can also pit at the camping site if you prefer. We have about 50 tables and chairs for those who can’t bring their own.
Camping in the park is exceptionnally allowed from Wednesday on at a cost of 3 euro per person. Basically it is bush camping, there are no showers. You can bring your generator, but use it wisely. A central power point will be installed next to the pond, bring a solid extension cable. If you need more information about the type of electrical socket we have in Belgium, check the general info again. Oh yes, nights will be noisy in the park because of the ongoing festivities. Need we say you can always join the party!
Park your car left or right of the road, for safety regulations the passage needs to be kept free. During the park festivities entrance and exit of the park might be blocked on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
The date of the nearby rock festival at Werchter has been forwarded one week, so for once trafic and hotel occupancy will be more “normal”.
Shop and catering:
Hobby Car Shop (Patrick Van Laer) will attend the meeting to cater for your tire and other needs. You can contact them in advance to see what they bring: http://www.hobbycarshop.be/
On Friday the club will provide a limited catering: cold drinks, hot coffee, a few snacks. On Friday evening the park festival food stalls open.
On Saturday and Sunday our collegues from Belgium Power Team will be present with their catering caravan: tasty burgers, delicious spaghetti, various drinks and don’t miss the Power Breakfast!

General Info

INTERNATIONAL  RACE  KAMPENHOUT   3 – 4 – 5  July  2015

Hello GP drivers,

Thank you for your entry. Here is some general info about our 2015 race.

TRACK

The MBV track is situated in a public park behind school buildings.

Address: Park van Relst, Aarschotsebaan 128, 1910 Kampenhout (Relst).

The track has an astroturf surface. Jumps? Oh yes, a 90° table top, whoops, a ski-iiii jump, a fabulous “wall of death”, two cobble stone sections,  a tricky off camber turn, …

Special feature: unique underground drainage worth seeing. Drainage holes and pipes under the track lead to one collector on the lowest point.

The rostrum along the straight is more than 2 m high. Lap counting is installed underneath.

On the parking area right next to the track tents will be put up for pitting. Some drivers prefer pitting in the camping area which is also close to the track.

An average lap is between 27 and 29 seconds. Highest grip when the track has dried after it rained, slippery when wet. Prolonged dry weather results in slightly slower lap times.

Yes, we know all that, but what changes did Willy made this year?

The main jump has been moved to the “hoechelenkant”. The wooden washboard is in wood heaven now. The wall is covered with thicker astro. And really new is the flexy fence all around the track.

CONTROL TYRE

Schumacher Mini Spike 2, all types, all compounds for the driven axles.

Additionally for the 4WD front wheels the Schumacher Wide Stagger Rib (all compounds) will be allowed.

Cut and shut not allowed.

Recommended compound for dry weather:  yellow .

Recommended compound for wet weather: silver.

BATTERIES

LiPo: 7,4 Volt originally hard cased LiPo’s.

Use and charge according to manufacturer’s instructions. Liposack recommended for charging.

Charge regime CC/CV, maximum allowed voltage setting on charger: 8.40 V or 2S.

MOTOR

No motor limit, brushless (to EFRA specifications) allowed.

MINIMUM WEIGHT

2wd 1474 g,

4wd 1588 g

 

TIMING

Friday: registration and free practice,

Saturday: 8 heats 2wd

Sunday: 7 heats 4wd

Timetable and briefing will be sent the week before the race.

4 qualifying rounds and 3 finals for everyone

race duration 5 minutes

round by round qualifying, 2 best to count.

RC4 decoder (hand out RC4 PT available if needed). MRT transponders probably won’t be fully compatible with an RC4 decoder.

Camping in the park (3 euros per person) during the event is exceptionally allowed by the Council from Wednesday on and at own risk. The park is not a fitted camp site, there are no showers (only showers provided by nature), limited 220V from Friday on. You can bring a generator but use it wisely at night. Keep outer road free. Do not leave valuables within grabbing reach. And don’t count on quiet evenings, especially on Saturday night there will be loud music in the big party tent.

Power 220V supplied in the pits. In the camping area there will be one centralized multi socket, so bring your own good quality extension lead.

– Iedere deelnemer dient een geldige licentie via: FBA (BE) of MVB Bergschenhoek/MAC Vlijmen (NL) bij zich te hebben.
– Chaque participant doit disposer d’une licence valable via: FBA (BE) ou MVB Bergschenhoek/MAC Vlijmen.
– De kosten bij voorinschrijving is €8,- per klasse. Op de wedstrijd zelf inschrijven is ook mogelijk en kost €10,- per klasse.
– Le coût est de €8,- par classe en cas de pré-inscription. S’inscrire le jour de la course est possible, coût €10,- par classe.

Training:
Doordat er nog diverse werkzaamheden op en naast de baan uitgevoerd moeten worden, zal het circuit niet altijd beschikbaar zijn voor trainingen. Voor de openingstijden kan je terecht op de website of contact op nemen via info@macvlijmen.nl.
Comme il faut encore exécuter beaucoup de travaux sur et à côté de la piste, le circuit ne sera pas toujours disponible pour des entraînements. Pour les heures d’ouvertures voyez le site web ou contactez le club via info@macvlijmen.nl.

Circuit:
Het BNK zal gereden worden op het vernieuwde circuit en terrein van MAC Vlijmen. Het terrein is ten opzichte van vorige jaren een stuk uitgebreid, waardoor niet alleen het rechte stuk maar ook de rest van de baan een stuk gegroeid is. Foto’s en meer info kan je vinden op de pagina “Het Circuit”
Le BNK se déroulera sur le nouveau circuit et terrain du MAC Vlijmen. Le terrain entier est plus grand qu’avant, ce qui résulte dans un circuit et une ligne droite nettement plus longs. Photo’s et info se trouvent sur la page “Het Circuit”

De rijrichting voor het BNK is met de klok mee.
Pour le BNK on roule dans le sens de l’horloge.

Faciliteiten:
Op de dag van de wedstrijd (maandag) zal een kantine met broodjes en drankjes aanwezig zijn.
Le jour de la course (lundi) il y aura une cantine avec sandwich et boissons.

Toiletten zijn beschikbaar op zondag en maandag.
Les toilettes sont accessibles le dimanche et le lundi.

Over het grasveld zullen verschillende stroompunten verspreid worden. Een verlengsnoer naar jou plekje, alsmede sleuteltafel en stoel dienen zelf verzorgd te worden.
Dans les pits (herbe) il y aura des points de courant. Prévoyez une rallonge, table et chaise.

Grand Prix 2015

Update control tyres Kampenhout International Race:

For 2015 we will have as control tyres (on driven axles) the usual Schumacher Minispike 2 (all compounds).

Additionally for the 4WD front wheels the Schumacher Wide Stagger Rib (all compounds) will be allowed.

A good opportunity to test these tyres as they are also the control tyre (in yellow compound) for the World Championship.
